Dear Director Hsieh:

Thank you for spending your precious time with Tsai family during your busy schedule last week. We also appreciate Mr. Chang for showing us your wonderful museum exhibition halls.
As our father’s 100th year memorial birthday is approaching, we plan to invite art professionals, scholars, publishers, professors and museums to help us organize, research, publish, and exhibit his hundreds and thousands of oil paintings, sketches, photos, and all his related work to celebrate this very event.

Our father had spent most of his time in Taipei before moving to America and his old residence is only a few blocks away from the museum. Taipei Fine Arts Museum with her outstanding position in Taiwan‘s fine arts community is the best museum for the exhibition and the collection of his art work in our opinion.

Even though he did not attend any art schools or received any formal training, he had been vigorously painting throughout his life. He joined many then famous art professionals and art clubs while he was in Taipei. His vivid and life-bearing art work with strong colors was well received in art community.

We would sincerely ask your consideration to sponsor his 100th year memorial exhibition. This event is not only for Tsai family but most importantly for the art community in Taiwan. Together with your staff, we will do our best to make this exhibition one of the most significant and successful fine arts events.

Understanding the importance of the preservation of his art work, we are also seriously looking for a best eternal archival place for them while mother is still alive. Along with the exhibition, we will provide enough paintings for museum’s collection for Intang Tsai’s art work through either donation or purchases or both. We are working hard to come up with his most representative art work for the final selection.
Thank you.

Best regards,

Shihing Tsai
